The V Series Standard is Chen Hsong’s fixed lower platen vertical injection molding machine for general insert molding and overmolding applications. Vertical clamping with vertical injection keeps inserts in place by gravity during molding, eliminating the need for complex fixtures. Six models from 35 to 200 tonnes cover the full range of small to medium insert molding requirements.
Standard high-riser components enhance versatility for thicker molds. Compact vertical footprint saves floor space compared to horizontal machines for equivalent clamping force. Part of Chen Hsong’s broader vertical platform, which shares a common architecture across Standard, Single-Slide, Double-Slide, and Rotary configurations. If your insert loading volume grows, you can upgrade to a sliding or rotary platen variant on the same platform without retraining operators or reworking mold standards.
All four share the same vertical clamping and injection platform. The V Standard has a fixed lower platen for simple insert molding. The V-S has a single sliding lower platen that slides out for easier insert loading.
The V-SD has dual sliding platens alternating left and right so one side loads inserts while the other molds, effectively doubling output. The V-R has a rotary lower platen with two stations alternating by rotation for the highest throughput and two-colour applications.
The V Standard is designed for general insert molding applications: electrical connectors, automotive components, consumer electronics, cable and connector systems, precision plastic parts, and industrial components.
Vertical clamping is ideal whenever inserts need to be loaded from above and held by gravity during molding.
Vertical machines excel at insert molding because gravity holds inserts in the lower mold during loading and molding. This eliminates complex insert fixturing and reduces cycle time.
Vertical machines also have a smaller floor footprint than equivalent horizontal machines. Choose vertical when your application involves loading inserts, overmolding onto existing components, or when floor space is limited.
