W Series

Low Work Height. High Output.

The W Series is Chen Hsong’s low work height rotary table vertical injection molding machine, designed for operations requiring frequent manual insert loading at a comfortable working height. Two-platen tieless clamping with a large-diameter rotary table provides maximum mold accessibility with no tie bars to obstruct loading. Dual-station rotary design alternates loading and molding for continuous production.

Wider tonnage range than the V Series, from 85 to 600 tonnes across ten models in two sub-ranges (WF85-WF250 and WF300-WF600). Larger round rotary platens from φ980mm to φ2000mm accommodate bigger molds and heavier inserts. Hydraulic servo system standard for precise clamping control. Dual-mold dynamic injection control standard for independent parameters per station. Same mode options as the V Series: standard, single-slide, double-slide, rotary, and two-colour configurations.

Core Values

Ergonomic Low Work Height

  • Low work height design optimised for comfortable manual insert loading over full shifts
  • Operators work at natural arm height, reducing fatigue and improving accuracy
  • Ideal for operations with frequent, repetitive insert loading by hand
  • Lower machine height also improves overhead crane access and factory layout flexibility

Tieless Two-Platen Clamping

  • No tie bars to obstruct insert loading, mold changes, or automation integration
  • Maximum mold accessibility from all sides of the machine
  • Two-platen clamping provides uniform force distribution for consistent part quality
  • Large round rotary platens from φ980mm to φ2000mm for bigger molds and heavier

Wider Tonnage and Larger Platens Than V Series

  • Ten models from 85 to 600 tonnes, extending well beyond V Series range
  • Two sub-ranges: WF85-WF250 and WF300-WF600 for small to large insert applications
  • Screw diameter options from φ32mm to φ70mm, shot weight 105g to 858g (PS)
  • Hydraulic servo system standard for precise clamping control

Flexible Configuration Options

  • Same five mode options as V Series: standard, single-slide, double-slide, rotary, and two-colour
  • Dual-mold dynamic injection control standard for independent parameters per station
  • Centralised utility connections standard on rotary configurations
  • Safety light curtain and acrylic safety door with interlock standard

FAQ

01What Is The Difference Between The W Series And The V Series?

The V Series uses vertical clamping with tie bars and a toggle mechanism. The W Series uses tieless two-platen clamping with no tie bars, providing maximum mold accessibility. The W Series is designed specifically for low work height operation, making manual insert loading more ergonomic.

The W Series also covers a wider tonnage range (85 to 600 tonnes vs 35 to 200 tonnes for V Series) with larger round rotary platens. Choose the W Series when ergonomics, mold accessibility, or higher tonnage is required.

In insert molding, operators frequently load inserts by hand, often hundreds of times per shift. Standard vertical machines can be tall, forcing operators to reach up to load inserts, causing shoulder and back fatigue.

The W Series positions the loading area at a comfortable natural arm height, reducing physical strain, improving placement accuracy, and allowing operators to work productively for full shifts.

Tieless clamping removes tie bars entirely, providing unobstructed access to the mold from all sides. This makes insert loading faster and easier, simplifies mold changes, and improves automation integration since robots have clear paths to the mold area.

It also allows larger molds relative to the machine tonnage since mold size is not limited by tie bar spacing.

The W Series is designed for applications requiring frequent manual insert loading at comfortable working height: automotive connectors and sensors, consumer electronics with multiple metal inserts, industrial components, and any high-volume insert molding where operator ergonomics directly affects productivity and quality. The larger tonnage range also suits heavier insert assemblies.

Yes. The W Series includes safety light curtain and acrylic safety door with interlock as standard. The tieless clamping design is especially automation-friendly since robots have clear, unobstructed paths to the mold area from all sides. Centralised utility connections on rotary configurations simplify peripheral integration.
