The W Series is Chen Hsong’s low work height rotary table vertical injection molding machine, designed for operations that require frequent manual insert loading at a comfortable working height. Tieless two-platen clamping with a large-diameter rotary table provides maximum mold accessibility, with no tie bars to obstruct loading. The dual-station rotary design alternates loading and molding for continuous production.
The W Series covers a wider, higher tonnage range than the V Series, with ten models from 85 to 600 tonnes. Larger round rotary platens from φ980mm to φ2400mm accommodate bigger molds and heavier inserts, and a hydraulic servo system with dual-mold dynamic injection control is standard. Like the rest of the vertical family, the W Series offers the same five mode options as the V Series: standard, single-slide, double-slide, rotary, and two-colour. It can also be supplied for liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding with the LSR-1000s metering unit.
Both are vertical machines, but the V Series uses tie-bar clamping with vertical injection, while the W Series uses tieless two-platen clamping on a low work height frame with a large rotary table. Removing the tie bars opens the mold on all sides for easier insert loading and automation, and the low frame puts the loading area at a comfortable arm height for full-shift manual work.
The W Series also covers a wider, higher tonnage range, 85 to 600 tonnes versus 35 to 400 tonnes, with larger round platens. Choose the W Series when ergonomics, mold accessibility, larger molds, or higher tonnage matter most.
In insert molding, operators load parts by hand, often hundreds of times per shift. A tall machine forces them to reach up repeatedly, causing shoulder and back fatigue and misloads.
The W Series positions the loading area at a natural arm height, reducing strain, improving placement accuracy, and letting operators stay productive across full shifts.
The W Series suits high-volume insert molding where manual loading happens at scale and ergonomics affect both productivity and quality: automotive connectors and sensors, consumer electronics with multiple metal inserts, and industrial components.
The wider tonnage range and larger rotary platens also handle bigger molds and heavier insert assemblies than the V Series.
Yes. The W Series can be configured for liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding with the LSR-1000s metering and dosing unit, and its rotary table supports two-colour and multi-colour work with the rotational alignment needed for material registration between stations. Dual-mold dynamic injection control is standard, giving each station independent injection parameters.
EUROMAP and SPI mold standards. B&R, KEBA, and Beckhoff controller options available by region. Local service support in 85+ countries.
