Sustainability is a long-term commitment — reflected in our engineering, our manufacturing practices, and our ongoing investment in people and the future of the industry
For Chen Hsong, sustainability is not a separate programme — it is built into how we engineer our machines, run our plants, and invest in the people and future of the industry. Across more than six decades and five R&D and production sites, we build the technology that helps manufacturers worldwide produce more efficiently and with less waste.
Our approach is guided by China’s “dual carbon” goals and the HKEX Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting Guide. We embed environmental management into daily operations, set annual reduction targets for energy, water, emissions and waste, and report our performance transparently each year in our ESG Report.
Chen Hsong is built on a deep commitment to human development. Our largest shareholder is the Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1990 by our founder, Dr. Chiang Chen, who donated his entire shareholding in the Group to fund it.
Because the Foundation is Chen Hsong’s largest shareholder, a share of the Group’s dividends flows to it each year. Those funds finance academic scholarships, technical training and manufacturing research in cooperation with leading universities — turning everyday industrial activity into long-term investment in the people and the future of the industry.
