C Series

No Tie Bars. No Limits on Access.

The C Series combines tieless vertical clamping with horizontal injection for maximum mold accessibility in a compact package. No tie bars means completely unobstructed access to the mold from all sides. Inserts load freely, robots move without interference, and mold changes are fast. Horizontal injection delivers the plasticising performance and shot capacity advantages of a side-mounted screw with easy maintenance access.

Available in two clamping sizes, C55 (55T) and C85 (85T), each offered in standard, double-slide, and rotary configurations. Round rotary platens (φ880mm on C55R, φ980mm on C85R) for rotary and two-colour applications. Compact machine dimensions with low footprint. Hydraulic servo system standard on slide and rotary variants. Part of Chen Hsong’s vertical platform family, sharing common components with V, W, and H Series.

Core Values

Complete Mold Accessibility

  • Zero tie bars means completely unobstructed access to the mold from all four sides
  • Inserts load freely without navigating around tie bars
  • Robots and automation equipment enter the mold area without path restrictions

FAQ

01What Is The Difference Between The C Series And The W Series?

Both are tieless, but they differ in injection orientation and tonnage range. The W Series uses vertical injection with tieless two-platen clamping and covers 85 to 600 tonnes with a low work height design. The C Series uses horizontal injection with tieless vertical clamping and covers 55 to 85 tonnes in a more compact package.

Choose the C Series when you need maximum accessibility in a small footprint with horizontal injection advantages. Choose the W Series when you need higher tonnage, larger platens, or low work height ergonomics.

Tie bars create physical obstacles that robots must navigate around to reach the mold area. In tieless machines, robots have clear, straight-line paths to load inserts and remove parts from any direction.

This simplifies robot programming, reduces cycle time, and allows simpler end-of-arm tooling. For automated production cells where multiple robots or peripherals need to access the mold area, tieless clamping eliminates the biggest physical constraint.

The C Series is designed for compact, automation-friendly insert molding: small electrical connectors, precision electronic components, small automotive sensors, and any application where maximum mold accessibility in a small footprint is critical. The tieless design is especially valuable in automated production cells with robotic insert loading.

Yes. The C55R and C85R rotary configurations support two-colour and multi-colour vertical molding applications. The round rotary platens provide the rotational alignment needed for precise material registration between stations.
Yes, and this is where the C Series excels. The tieless clamping design provides the cleanest possible path for robotic access from all directions. Safety light curtain and acrylic safety door are available. The compact footprint makes the C Series ideal for tight automated production cells.
