The V-SD Double-Slide doubles your effective output by alternating two sliding lower platens left and right. While one platen is under the clamping unit molding, the other slides out for insert loading and part removal. The operator never waits for the machine, and the machine never waits for the operator. For insert-heavy applications where loading time is a significant portion of the cycle, the V-SD effectively doubles output from a single injection unit. 

Dual-mold dynamic injection control standard allows independent injection parameters per station, compensating for varying mold wear between the two platens. Slide plate positioning device standard for precise and repeatable platen return on both sides. Same vertical clamping and injection platform as the V Standard and V-S, with six models from 35 to 200 tonnes. Upgrade to V-R Rotary for two-colour applications or when you need even higher throughput with servo-driven rotation.

01How Does The V-SD Double Output Compared To A Single-Slide?

The V-S Single-Slide has one sliding platen. The machine waits while the operator loads inserts on the slid-out platen. The V-SD has two platens alternating left and right. While one platen molds, the operator loads inserts on the other.

If your insert loading time roughly matches your molding cycle time, the V-SD effectively doubles your output from a single injection unit because loading and molding happen simultaneously.

Dual-mold dynamic injection control allows the V-SD to set independent injection parameters for each of the two stations.

As molds wear differently over time, each station can be individually tuned to maintain consistent product quality without needing to replace both molds at the same time. This is standard on the V-SD and extends production yield and mold life.
