The SPARK MS is a servo hybrid injection molding machine. Dedicated servo motors drive injection, plasticising, and mold clamping for ±0.01mm repeatable positioning accuracy, while a compact built-in hydraulic system handles core-pulling and complex-mold functions with no separate power pack required. A standard 160mm/s injection speed, plus electric synchronous plasticising and synchronous ejection, shortens cycle times, and the servo motor system delivers up to 50% energy saving versus traditional hydraulic machines.
With 90 to 1700 tonnes across 15 clamping sizes and a wide choice of injection units and screws, the SPARK MS is the broadest range in the SPARK family, covering everything from precision small parts to large structural components. Built for 3C electronics, automotive and optical parts, home appliances, medical and hygiene products, connectors, daily goods, and high-end toy components.
The SPARK MS is Chen Hsong’s flagship servo hybrid injection molding machine: electric servo drive on injection, plasticising, and clamping, with a compact built-in hydraulic system for core-pulling and complex molds.
It is the widest-ranging machine in the SPARK family, combining electric precision with hybrid flexibility across a broad span of part sizes.
The SPARK MS covers 90 to 1700 tonnes of clamping force across 15 clamping sizes, from MS90 up to MS1700. Each size can be paired with a wide choice of injection units and screw configurations, so a single platform can handle precision small parts at the low end and large structural components at the high end.
This makes the MS the broadest range in the SPARK family and a flexible fit for manufacturers running a varied product mix.
The SPARK MS achieves ±0.01mm repeatable positioning accuracy, because servo motors directly drive the injection and mold open/close actuators and the process runs under closed-loop control.
On speed, it comes with a standard 160mm/s injection rate for high-speed filling, and electric synchronous plasticising with synchronous ejection runs actions in parallel to shorten the overall cycle. The result is tight shot-to-shot consistency at high output.
The SPARK MS pairs a servo motor system with high-efficiency technology to save 30% to 50% energy compared with traditional hydraulic machines, depending on working conditions.
Because the main axes are electrically driven and only a compact built-in hydraulic system handles core-pulling, the machine draws power on demand rather than running a full hydraulic power unit continuously. For high-output production, that saving converts directly into lower operating cost on every cycle.
The SPARK MS suits a wide range of production thanks to its 90–1700T span, electric precision, and hybrid capability: 3C and consumer electronics, automotive components and optical parts, home appliances, medical and hygiene products, connectors, daily-use goods, and high-end toy components.
Its high speed, ±0.01mm repeatability, energy efficiency, and built-in hydraulic core-pulling make it well suited to manufacturers stepping up from hydraulic machines who want electric quality and lower running costs without limiting themselves to a narrow tonnage range.
AI Molder is the SPARK MS’s built-in smart molding assistant. It automatically tunes molding parameters and self-corrects the process, so the machine can hold high yield rates even when running recycled material.
It continuously optimizes parameters to lift the CPK process capability index, making production more stable and controllable and reducing reliance on experienced operators. Combined with EtherCAT ultra-fast control, a 15″ touchscreen, and OPC-UA connectivity, the MS is built to “think” alongside your team rather than depend on manual trial-and-error.
The SPARK family shares one platform and splits by how much of the machine is electric. The SPARK AE is 100% electric on every axis with zero hydraulic oil, for maximum cleanliness and precision (20–650T). The SPARK EH uses electric clamping and electric injection with hydraulic ejection, injection shift, and core-pulling (100–650T), for applications that need stronger hydraulic secondary functions.
The SPARK HB uses electric injection with hydraulic clamping (130–670T), the most accessible path to electric injection quality. The SPARK MS is the flagship hybrid: servo-electric on injection, plasticising, and clamping with built-in hydraulic core-pulling, AI Molder standard, ±0.01mm repeatability, 160mm/s, and the widest range at 90–1700T.
Choose the AE for zero-oil all-electric work, the MS for the smartest and widest-range hybrid, the EH when hydraulic secondary axes matter most, and the HB for hydraulic clamping at a lower investment.
