e-Drive™ is Chen Hsong’s electric plasticising system. Instead of using the hydraulic motor for screw recovery, an electric servo motor handles plasticising independently.
This reduces plasticising energy consumption by 10-25%, increases recovery speed by up to 30%, a 10-60% increase in melting speed, and a 10-22% reduction in drying time. and enables simultaneous plasticising during mold open/close when paired with valve gates or a shut-off nozzle. On the MK7S, e-Drive™ is standard, not optional.
All MK7S models share the same core platform: e-Drive™ electric plasticising, 15” smart controller, bimetallic screw and barrel, aerogel insulation, and patented circular platens.
Larger MK7S machines (800T and above) include additional standard features designed for large-machine operation: electric front safety door, clamping area safety footboard, feeding platform, and safety relay. These additions support safe, ergonomic operation on machines handling larger molds and parts.
