Building a new factory or upgrading an existing one? From plant layout and equipment selection through automation, logistics, and digital platform deployment, we engineer the entire production environment.
For nearly 70 years, Chen Hsong has built injection molding machines designed around what customers actually need. That’s why the range now spans 15+ series across every clamping technology, tonnage range, and application.
It’s why we developed iChen™ Cloud for factory operations management and iChen™ AI Molder for process optimization. and it’s why we now offer iChen™ Smart Factory: because our customers told us they didn’t just need great machines.
They needed the entire production environment engineered to work together, and connected intelligently from the start.
iChen™ Smart Factory is Chen Hsong’s end-to-end factory engineering and integration service.
From initial plant layout and auxiliary equipment through automation, material handling, warehouse logistics, and digital platform deployment, a dedicated Chen Hsong project team takes responsibility for your entire production environment.
We don’t just sell machines and walk away. We make sure everything around those machines works as one system: chillers, robots, conveyors, warehouse, MES, all optimized for your products and your output targets, with iChen™ Cloud and AI Molder integrated from day one.
iChen™ Smart Factory is fully modular. You can buy the complete turnkey package or select only the modules you need. It works for new factory builds and existing plant upgrades alike, whether your operation runs 3 machines or 3,000. and it extends beyond injection molding to multi-process facilities that include blow molding, assembly, painting, and more.
Built into the system from day one.

Built on a unified data platform.
Factory layout built around your products, output goals, and future expansion
Factory layout built around your products, output goals, and future expansion
Facility blueprints are developed based on operational analysis of your product range, output targets, production process, and future growth plans.
Planning covers production zones, material flow paths, utility routing, equipment spacing, and the practical movement of people, molds, materials, and finished goods across the factory.
Matched support equipment for stable injection molding production
Matched support equipment for stable injection molding production
Auxiliary equipment is selected to match your molding process, production workflow, machine configuration, and facility layout.
Chen Hsong engineers review the full production setup to ensure chillers, mold-temperature controllers, granulators, dryers, mixers, feeders, and hydraulic mold-change systems work correctly with your production requirements.
Automated material supply from storage to each molding machine
Automated material supply from storage to each molding machine
Centralized material feeding systems are planned around resin usage, machine locations, drying needs, and daily production volume.
The system connects storage, drying, conveying, and feeding into a controlled material supply network, reducing manual handling and helping keep material delivery stable across the production floor.
Automation designed around your parts, cycle time, and output targets
Automation designed around your parts, cycle time, and output targets
Automation systems are designed around your product geometry, cycle time, output targets, and post-molding handling requirements.
Solutions can include 2-axis and 3-axis part-removal robots, conveyors, IML systems, packaging and bagging lines, cartoning systems, and quality inspection stations.
Smarter storage, dispatch, and inventory control inside the factory
Smarter storage, dispatch, and inventory control inside the factory
Automatic warehousing solutions support material storage, dispatch, and inventory control inside the factory.
High-density storage layouts, WMS and WCS software, AGV coordination, and automated dispatch systems help keep raw materials, work-in-process items, and finished goods moving with less manual handling.
Planned material movement from receiving to finished goods shipment
Planned material movement from receiving to finished goods shipment
Factory logistics are planned from raw material receiving through production and finished goods shipment.
Transport routes, transfer points, material movement, and dispatch flows are designed to reduce unnecessary handling, avoid bottlenecks, and keep production areas supplied without interrupting operations.
Utility planning for stable production and better operating cost control
Utility planning for stable production and better operating cost control
Utility systems are planned around the actual needs of molding machines, auxiliary equipment, automation systems, and production zones.
Electricity, water, cooling, and related utility routing are designed to support stable production while helping manage energy use and daily operating costs.

iChen™ Cloud and iChen™ AI Molder are deployed as part of the smart factory setup to connect daily factory operations with injection molding process control.
iChen™ Cloud brings together key factory systems such as MES, QMS, WMS, WCS, APS, EMS, IoT, and data platform functions, while iChen™ AI Molder helps operators set molding parameters and maintain process stability directly at the machine.
Every iChen™ Smart Factory project is designed around specific products and production targets. Here are four examples showing the scope of what we deliver.
Automated side-gate preform handling. A horizontal 2-axis robot extracts preforms after the first injection cycle, enabling the immediate start of the second cycle. The same robot performs a second extraction, then places finished preforms onto an output conveyor for transport.
Equipment includes: JM480-PET/S2 injection molding machine, loader, chiller, horizontal 2-axis robot, custom mold, and custom conveyor system.

Side-entry in-mold labeling automation. Twin 2-axis robot system handles part extraction and label placement, with finished products stacked and discharged via conveyor.
Equipment includes: SPEED 568 injection molding machine, compact dryer, chiller, twin 2-axis robot system, label magazine, custom fixture, and conveyor system.

High-speed thin-wall container production with full downstream automation. Process flow: injection molding, part extraction, product stacking, repositioning and transfer, bagging and sealing, cartoning.
Equipment includes: SUPER PACK430 injection molding machine, loader, chiller, 3-axis robot, custom mold, conveyor system, control system, and packaging system.

Top-entry automation with two-stage robot handling. A 3-axis robot extracts the crate from the mold, then a horizontal 2-axis robot handles label placement and marking. Finished crates transfer to the output conveyor.
Equipment includes: JM488-MK6.6/A injection molding machine, chiller, 3-axis robot, custom mold, control system, label magazine, and conveyor system.

Chen Hsong manages every project through a dedicated project manager who serves as your single point of contact. All planning and strategy is done by the Chen Hsong engineering team. The iChen™ Cloud MES platform is developed in-house.
Hardware implementation, including auxiliaries, automation, and logistics systems, is delivered through certified partner suppliers under CH project management.
It depends on scale and complexity. Large-scale turnkey projects typically require approximately 6 months of implementation after contract signing. The planning and design phase can take up to 12 months for complex facilities. Smaller projects with fewer modules move faster.
Both. iChen™ Smart Factory serves new-build and existing-plant-upgrade projects. Whether you are building from scratch or modernizing an existing operation, we adapt the scope to your situation.
The Chen Hsong project manager is directly accountable. Root cause analysis is conducted immediately. If the issue originates with a partner supplier, the supplier is responsible for resolution at their cost.
If you define specific performance targets (OEE, cycle time, yield) during project planning, the project is designed and implemented to meet those targets.
Commissioning includes production line testing, functional acceptance, documentation handover, and issue resolution.
Operator training is conducted by Chen Hsong’s Smart Industry division engineers, typically lasting 1 to 3 days depending on project scale.
Chen Hsong has delivered integrated projects domestically in China and internationally including Southeast Asia. Full turnkey capability is currently strongest within China.
For overseas projects, Chen Hsong provides integrated equipment packages, peripheral support, and digital platform deployment. Contact our team to discuss your region and project scope.
Yes. Chen Hsong can arrange visits to completed project sites for prospective customers. Prospective customers can also visit the engineering team to discuss project scope and design approach before committing.
