The DM III is Chen Hsong’s third-generation multi-material injection molding machine with toggle clamping, backed by 25 years of rotary platen innovation since pioneering the industry’s first servo-driven rotary platen multi-material machine in 1997 and launching this third generation in 2022. 4 patented core technologies protect platen position accuracy, support stability, ejection life, and injection linearity. The servo-motor-driven turntable delivers fast speed, precise positioning, and easy adjustment, unaffected by power outages.
Modular, combined design for flexible multi-material production from 168 to 568 tonnes, with three-colour and above molding available as an option. Digitally-controlled precision injection holds ±0.2% accuracy. Standard plasticising uses a low-speed high-torque hydraulic motor with a nitrided barrel and electroplated mixing screw, plus CNC back pressure. Dedicated third-generation multi-material controller for stable turntable motion and precise positioning. Built for automotive tail lights, power tool grips, toothbrushes, tableware, personal care products, eyewear, cosmetics packaging, and toys. Any application where two or more materials or colours meet in a single part.
The DM III is a purpose-built multi-material machine with toggle clamping from 168 to 568 tonnes, carrying 4 patented rotary platen technologies and a dedicated multi-material controller as standard. The DMZ III is the back-loading (piggyback) multi-material series: the JM-DMZ III is a three-platen design from 168 to 468 tonnes with a compact structure for easy single/two-colour switching, and the SM-NTP-DMZ III is a two-platen design from 550 to 750 tonnes with a patented toggle-brake mechanism for larger mold space and higher clamping force.
In short: choose the DM III for standard multi-material production; choose the DMZ III when you need a back-loading layout, space savings, or larger parts.
Patent 1: Rotary Platen Clamping Device (ZL 2022 2 1048581.2) protects the platen and mold during open/close, improving position accuracy and yield.
Patent 2: Rotary Platen Support Device (ZL 2023 2 2478460.2) uses eccentric fine-tuning to stay firm and resist loosening.
Patent 3: Rotary Platen Ejection Device (ZL 2023 2 2478456.6) uses a spring-loaded friction ring with grease lubrication to reduce friction and extend platen life.
Patent 4: Separated Injection Piston Rod / Retract Rod Structure (ZL 2023 2 2478463.6) ensures injection linearity for higher precision and yield.
The DM III is designed for two-colour, two-material, and multi-component injection molding: automotive tail lights, power tool grips, toothbrushes, tableware, personal care products, eyewear, cosmetics packaging, small appliances, and toys.
Three- and four-colour parts are supported via optional three- and four-station turntables. Any application where multiple materials or colours must bond seamlessly in a single molding cycle.
The DM III uses servo motor control for turntable positioning. Unlike competitors that use hydraulic motors combined with mechanical stoppers, the DM III’s servo system delivers fast, precise, repeatable positioning that is easy to adjust and unaffected by power outages.
This avoids the positioning inaccuracy and stopper impact common in hydraulic rotary-table systems, resulting in higher product quality and easier process control.
EUROMAP and SPI mold standards. B&R, KEBA, and Beckhoff controller options available by region. Local service support in 85+ countries.
